This environmentally responsible cooper built their first hot tub in 1998, using Western Red Cedar because of its resistance to decay and dimensional stability. These wooden barrel hot tubs are handcrafted in the traditional cooperage style of construction; a method standing the test of time with wine barrels.

Forest Cooperage says they exclusively use vertical grain in Hot Tubs and Japanese Soaking Tubs (Ofuro) for dimensional stability and long life. Tubs use four stainless steel hoops on a 4 foot high tub for even pressure on the wood joints for less chance of leaking.
